About the Role
This is a flexible temporary position with opportunities for temp-to-perm arrangements if you enjoy the environment and would like to move onto a permanent contract.
We offer a range of placements across different nurseries, with both part-time and full-time options available - so you can find the work pattern that best suits your lifestyle.
As a Nursery Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting children across Nursery and Reception age groups, with opportunities to provide both 1:1 support and small-group learning. Whether it's encouraging creativity, supporting children with additional needs, or simply being a positive role model, your contribution will help shape their learning journey.
✅ What We're Looking For
- A positive, caring, and energetic attitude
- EYFS Level 2 or 3 qualification (essential)
- Enthusiasm for Early Years learning and development
- Ability to monitor and record children's progress
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children individually and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with planning and classroom activities
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers
- Supervising children during play, activities, and mealtimes
- Encouraging positive behaviour and acting as a role model
- Inspiring children with creativity, patience, and enthusiasm
