Relief Social Care Assistant

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£15.81 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

We are seeking to recruit someone who is highly motivated to provide high quality services to older people in our extra care facility.

You will be required to undertake tasks as delegated by senior staff, but also need to be able to use your own initiative at times.

The post requires adherence to Care Standards and Codes of Practice as well as a positive attitude towards optimum fulfilment of older people’s lives. Previous experience in social care is highly desirable though not essential.

You should hold a minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service for Adults or achieve this within three years of appointment. You must also register with SSSC as a Support Worker within three months of appointment.

This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
