Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and improving both manual and automated testing processes across multiple projects. The role may evolve in line with company's strategy, and flexibility to meet business requirements is expected.
Key Responsibilities
Scope out, design, and implement manual and automated test cases.
Plan, schedule, and execute System Test and UAT cycles across multiple environments.
Identify, document, and track software defects, maintaining accurate bug records.
Standardize QA processes and ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
Execute all levels of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance.
Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts.
Write and code individual programs as required to support testing.
Create, implement, and document test plans and test cases.
Leverage API knowledge to drive new requirements for in-house backup and cybersecurity software tailored to client needs.
Communicate test results, progress, and risks with project stakeholders.
Requirements
Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
Proficiency in scripting/programming with PHP and Java.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments and cybersecurity best practices.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with backup solutions or cybersecurity software.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
ISTQB or other software testing certifications.
