Summary
Identify security vulnerabilities and mitigate the threat from nefarious actors. Drive the collation and analysis of security threats, trends, and environmental issues within the AOR.
Identify new, confirmed or likely security intelligence casework through liaison and engagement with Defence Counter Intelligence (DCI), the MoD Insider Threat Team, MDP Special Branch, other Home Office Police Forces, and other MoD Security teams. Liaise with higher formations and other Government departments to enable security intelligence activity.
Support the delivery of the Insider Threat Programme. Provide support to security investigations and operations, ensuring security intelligence activity is carried out thoroughly, professionally and expeditiously in accordance with MOD policies.
Manage CCIRM (Intelligence Requirement Management & Collection Coordination) and security estimate process. Organise security interviews and assist in conducting these when required.
Support the Per Sy Adviser with vetting enquiries and overseas travel applications, plus conducting background enquiries. Organise interviews and assist in conducting these interviews when required.
Create, maintain and update UKStratCom Security Education and Awareness programme and campaign linking with wider-Defence activity.
Assist in the preparation of Intelligence Threat Assessment reports.
Support and deputise for PST staff during absence and unavailability.
