Role Forklift Truck Engineer
Location: Exeter, Devon
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + excellent benefits (can be negotiable)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am – 4:30pm
As a Workshop Engineer, you’ll:
Inspect, service, and refurbish forklift trucks across diesel, gas, and electric models
Diagnose faults and identify parts/labour needed to bring equipment up to standard
Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance with precision and care
Record your work using our PDA system, ensuring accurate job sheets and service records
Work on a variety of equipment, from plant to material handling, in a supportive team environment
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
At least 4 years’ engineering experience (forklift, plant, HGV, or agricultural)
Skills in mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic engineering
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER legislation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A good standard of literacy and numeracy
A forklift truck, plant, agricultural, or HGV qualification is a big plus, as is a Counterbalance licence.
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
