A specialist SEN school in Harrow, North London is seeking a dedicated Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers, providing tailored, individualised support that makes a real difference to a student’s learning journey.
The Role – Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:
• Provide 1:1 support for a student with SEN, ensuring academic, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Adapt and implement learning activities to suit the student’s individual learning style.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support classroom activities and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 2:1 degree (Psychology or related subject desirable).
• Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN (Autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Resilient, adaptable, and committed to supporting the development of children with additional needs.
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
