Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Years Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support our bespoke EYFS class within our wonderful little primary school.
Our bespoke Early Years setting is a mixed-age class for both Nursery (3+) and Reception children, and offers a nurturing and engaging environment where every child is valued as an individual. We are proud to follow the Curiosity Approach, encouraging a love of learning through open-ended play and natural resources, in a calm, thoughtful space that puts the child at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a passionate practitioner who:
has experience working with the Early Years Framework, pedagogy and best practice, and understands how to support children's learning and development holistically
holds a full and relevant Early Years qualificiation - at least Level 3
is imaginative and full of energy - with a deep interest in how children learn
can support and enhance learning, both indoors and outdoors
has experience supporting the delivery of phonics and early reading
can lead small group interventions
can work in close partnerships with parents and families
is commited to their own continuous professional development
will actively support and engage with the wider life of our village primary school
While this post is based in our Early Years class, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will become part of the wider school community and take part in broader school activities. There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to extend their hours supporting our breakfast club provision.
Visits to our school are strongly encouraged – come and see what makes our school and Early Years setting special. Please note that we may interview early for strong applications.
Laddingford St Mary’s CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, references, and all other relevant safeguarding checks in line with KCSIE guidelines.
