Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our development processes and ensuring the seamless integration of software development and IT operations. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will be instrumental in automating processes, optimising system performance, and facilitating collaboration between development and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support application deployment and scalability.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure effective integration of applications with APIs.
Monitor system performance using tools such as Splunk to identify issues and implement solutions proactively.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure.
Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, maintenance, and security measures.
Document processes, configurations, and changes to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve practices.
Requirements

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role within a technology-driven environment.
Familiarity with application servers such as Tomcat.
Experience with programming languages such as Go or Rat for automation tasks is advantageous.
Understanding of SDLC principles and methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges before they arise.
