Estimator – Construction / Civil Engineering
Location: Northampton

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Estimator with construction, civils, or drainage experience to join a growing contractor in Northampton.

The Role
- Prepare cost estimates for civil engineering, groundworks, and drainage projects
- Analyse drawings/specs and produce competitive tenders
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations
- Conduct site visits and support post-tender negotiations
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure estimates align with project delivery plans
- Support post-tender negotiations and value engineering exercises
- Monitor industry pricing trends and maintain estimating database and tools
Requirements
- Proven Estimator experience (construction / civils / drainage)
- Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills (MS Office and estimating software)
- Knowledge of UK construction materials, methods & regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tenders independently
- Full UK driving licence
