Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and committed Teacher of Humanities to join our friendly and supportive faculty. This is a full-time, maternity contract, with a start date of January 2026 or sooner.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach History and Geography to Key Stage 3 students, and one of these subjects to GCSE level. Applicants should have a good qualification in either Geography or History.

We are looking for a teacher with excellent teaching skills who is committed to continuous professional development (CPLD). You will also be required to act as a form tutor, a significant role that involves being the first point of contact and an advocate for your students. The faculty have a wide range of professional experience, and you will receive plenty of assistance, especially in areas where you may be unfamiliar. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and provide a reduced timetable an experienced subject mentor, and full participation in the Early Career Framework (ECF) training program. All humanities classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and visualizers, and all courses are well-resourced with clear schemes of work and teacher guidance.
