Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Permanent Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants

9.17 hours per week, Monday to Friday (11.30am to 13.20pm) x 38 weeks a year.

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team, supporting students aged 11 to 19 years during the lunch period. This role is key to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the dining hall, before, during and after the midday meal.
• Support students with a range of needs, including those with additional or specialist requirements.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during lunchtime.
• Read and understand feeding plans and specialist diets, ensuring students receive appropriate meals.
• Assist with setting up and clearing the lunch area.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Excellent oral and written English language skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with students and staff.
• Experience working with young people aged 11–19 is desirable.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
