There is an opportunity available to join our Compliance Team within the Housing Investment team of Environment, Housing and Infrastructure of Renfrewshire Council.

As part of the team, you will assist the Statutory Compliance Co-ordinator Gas, and Electric Safety (Housing) on the strategic management of Statutory Compliance and Regulatory undertakings related to HRA assets including the inspection and service regimes related to Gas and Electric Safety to ensure that Renfrewshire Communities and Housing Services (RCHS) is fully compliant and reduce any residual risk to its, tenants, employees and third parties. Support the Procurement and Delivery of statutory compliance contracts, internal and external Quality Control/Quality Assurance arrangements and Monitoring and Reporting on performance.

You will assist in the development and delivery of the strategic approach to effectively managing Landlord Compliance statutory obligations and regulatory undertakings that reduces the risk, to customers, employees and third parties.

It is essential you have a CORGI Level 4 VRQ in Gas Safety Management in Social Housing or equivalent, BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations. IEE Wiring Regulations or similar electrical qualification for Fixed Electrical Equipment and Portable Appliance Testing regimes.

You will be a self-motivated individual with experience of Statutory Health and Safety Compliance within the Social Housing Sector with experience in one or more of the following areas Gas Safety and or Electrical Safety, experience analysing data and taking appropriate actions as required., Capable of working on your own initiative with effective communication, ICT, and presentation skills.

Knowledge of relevant health and safety issues within a compliance and maintenance/construction field including knowledge of current legislation relating to Gas Servicing, or Electrical installation is essential.

Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload is also essential.

HNC or equivalent in construction or maintenance related discipline or Property/Building related specialism or Health and Safety qualification is desirable.

It is also desirable that you hold a full current driving licence.
