Summary


The Richmond Occupational Therapy Service is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 OT to join the Richmond Children’s Therapy Team. You will join an established team of Occupational Therapists who work closely together in an integrated service with Children’s Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. We deliver a service to children between 0 – 18 years within a variety of settings including nurseries, mainstream schools, clinics and within the child/young person’s home. We welcome applications from occupational therapists who have experience in other settings and can demonstrate transferable skills into paediatrics.



The post holder will have the opportunity to develop their skills within a variety of clinical areas including complex neurodevelopmental conditions e.g. autism, and complex physical disabilities e.g. cerebral palsy. The service values multi-disciplinary working including groups, joint assessments and sessions with the Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists and Paediatricians.



The successful candidate will be closely supervised by our team of Band 7 therapists and will be offered regular individual supervision, group supervision and access to multi-disciplinary in-house training and external training. The service is commitment to continuing professional development which is strongly supported by the Trust.
• To carry and manage a caseload of pre-school and school age children with a range of complex needs, working in clinic, early years settings and in the child/young person's home.
• To deliver specialist occupational therapy provision identified in children's education health and care plans.
• To contribute to service development and service audits.
• To support junior members of staff and and participate/provide training to the wider team.
• To offer bespoke training to parents and schools.
