Summary
We are looking to recruit a Science Facilitator. The post holder will work with both lecturers and students of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The post holder will actively help drive the subject both within and outside of the curriculum to make science engaging, stimulating and valued. The role involves supporting and assisting the Science team in practical lessons and set up, to ensure the students can maximise their practical time and achieve the highest possible results.
The post holder should have a proven record of practical science skills, ideally including preparing chemicals and chemistry procedures, as well as working directly with the students in the classrooms to assist with experimental delivery and be a professional advocate of the specialism.This role is for 36 hours per week, term time based - 42 weeks per year.Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and have also developed a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre.This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.Notice for Recruitment Agencies:
