This is a pivotal role that requires more than just administrative excellence; it demands the ability to thrive amidst the challenges of a specialist provision, supporting our students, families, and staff with unwavering professionalism and compassion.
The Role: The Hub of Our School Community
As the Senior Office Administrator, you will be the backbone of our daily operations and a key holder of our school's culture. You will manage a small team and ensure the school office is a welcoming, efficient, and supportive hub for everyone. In our environment, this means being prepared for the unexpected, proactively supporting colleagues during moments of crisis, and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, from local authorities to parents who may be in distress. Managing the school office and administrative staff, fostering a culture of proactive support for the whole school.
Acting as a calm and professional point of contact for parents, external agencies, and visitors, often in complex or sensitive situations.
Maintaining robust student records and data management systems with meticulous attention to detail.
Overseeing financial administration, including budgeting and purchasing.
Ensuring compliance with educational policies and regulations.
Demonstrating adaptability by supporting the wider school team as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the school during challenging times.
Who We're Looking For:

Exceptional emotional resilience and the ability to maintain a calm, positive, and professional demeanour under pressure.
High levels of adaptability with the skill to manage competing priorities in a responsive and fast-paced environment.
Genuine empathy and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of people.
A genuine team player with a proactive, 'roll-up-your-sleeves' attitude and a deep-seated commitment to supporting colleagues.
Experience in office management, ideally within a school or specialist provision setting.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and compliance within a school environment.
