Financial Controller

Fixed-Term Contract - 3 months

Rate - £17 an hour

Location - St Austell

Hours - Monday to Friday (9am - 3pm) or 4 days a week with longer hours

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing business on a fixed term basis to support financial operation.

This role offers flexibility in terms of hours, as well as the opportunity to work with a cornish success story.

Key Responsibilities:

Support a small finance team with management of the purchase ledger
Manage the incoming phone and email enquiries reference financial queries
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial planning as part of the wider team
General administrative duties related to the role
Prepare VAT returns and manage supplier payments
Drive improvements in financial systems, controls, and reporting

Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is necessary
- At least 1 year post-qualification experience is highly advantagous
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with an ability to come in and hit the ground running
- Proven experience in process improvement and strategic input where required
- NetSuite knowledge is an advantage, but not essential for the positon - training will be povided
