Pay: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm | Term-time only
Start Date: Asap
Contract: Full time, Long Term to Permanent roles only
About the Roles
Are you resilient, active and passionate about helping young people succeed? Long Term Futures are looking for several Behaviour and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our partner Alternative Provisions. We are working with settings in Grantham, Newark and Nottinghamshire, and our positions are full time, in one school - on a long term to permanent basis.
These settings support pupils who need a different kind of education. Smaller classes, hands-on activities and supportive staff who help them re-engage with learning. Every day is different, and every day you'll be making a real difference.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Building trust and encouraging positive choices
- Taking part in practical, creative and physical learning (sporty, active people are especially encouraged to apply)
- Assisting teachers and staff to deliver tailored learning and behaviour plans
What We're Looking For
- Resilient, can-do people who can stay calm under pressure
- Those who can travel reliably to Grantham, Newark or surrounding areas
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including:
- Sports coaches
- Youth workers or mentors
- Residential support staff
- Teaching assistants or support workers
- Psychology, Criminology, Sports Science or Education graduates
- Ex-forces or public services backgrounds
Why Join an Alternative Provision?
- A rewarding role where no two days are the same
- Long-term opportunities with the chance of permanent work
- Supportive staff teams and small class sizes
- A chance to use your skills to change young people's lives
