Summary
Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Ofsted) – Up to £54,000
The service is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children’s home and provide the highest standards of care, support, and safety. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Children’s Home Manager who is passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives while leading a committed team in a supportive and rewarding environment.
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Ofsted-registered children’s home. You’ll ensure the home is a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children and young people can thrive, while meeting all regulatory requirements and providing strong leadership to the staff team.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or similar leadership role within a children’s home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, safeguarding, whistleblowing, and supervision practices.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team within a children’s residential setting.
- Clear enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations.
- Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and quality of care are always prioritised.
- Provide supervision, support, and development for staff to ensure best practice.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Promote a warm, supportive, and stable environment for children and young people.
- Manage budgets, resources, and ensure effective record-keeping.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
