Roles & Responsibilities

As an English Teacher with TeacherActive, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  
  

• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities.

  
  

• Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of reading and writing.

  
  

• Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.

  
  

• Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.

  
  

• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.

  
  

• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and the wider school community.

  
  The Successful English Teacher Will Have:

  • QTS with English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

    
    

  • Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / GCSE

    
    

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

    
    

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    
    

  • A genuine passion for English and inspiring young learners
