Summary



This is an opportunity to experience a role in the library service, developing customer service skills through training and development.

If you want to join our team, it's essential that you have good communication skills and would enjoy a role working with the public



It's essential that you have some experience of working with computerised systems and of using online services. Our Libraries offer public computer facilities, Wi-Fi, wireless printing and scanning, digital books and apps - assisting customers to use these resources is an important part of the role.



Our buildings are busy with customers, groups, events and meetings and staff should expect to be on their feet for large parts of the day.

Apprenticeship Entry Requirements:



• Be aged 16 or older at the start of the apprenticeship.

• Be a UK citizen or have proof of their right to work in the UK. If they are not a UK or EEA citizen, they must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

• Meet the essential qualification criteria in the role profile and be able to provide original qualification certificates at interview.

• Do not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in the same or closely related field to the apprenticeship they are applying for. It must be unrelated in subject and content from the qualifications already held.



Closing Date: Sunday 5th October 2025



Interview Date: Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of October 2025
