A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a specialist school environment. This is a full-time, permanent position where you'll play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students.

The Role: What to Expect

In this dynamic and highly-resourced school setting, you'll work directly with a small class of students, typically supporting a group of 4-5 individuals aged 5 to 18. Your main goal is to assist these students, who have a wide range of complex needs including autism and physical disabilities, in their daily learning activities. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to build meaningful connections and celebrate every small victory with the students you support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and small-group support to students during lessons.

  • Collaborating closely with experienced teachers to deliver tailored support.

  • Assisting with classroom activities and helping to create a positive learning environment.

  • Helping students with personal care and mobility as required.

Your Skills and Attributes

While previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, we prioritize a strong commitment and the right personal qualities. We are seeking someone who is patient, resilient, and proactive. The ideal candidate will be a true team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong desire to support students with complex needs.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.

  • An Enhanced DBS check covering both children and adults (required for the role).

  • A full driving license (highly recommended due to the school's location).

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package for this permanent full-time position. We are committed to providing ongoing training and professional development to ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed.

This position is an urgent requirement, and we are actively reviewing applications. If you are immediately available and believe you have the passion and dedication to make a difference, we encourage you to apply today. Join our team and start your rewarding journey in a school where every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow.
