Key Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled History Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Edmonton, North London. The school is seeking a confident and inspiring practitioner who can deliver high-quality History teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience at Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to further develop their career in a vibrant and well-resourced school.

The Role – History Teacher

As a key member of the Humanities department, you will:

Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that spark curiosity about the past and encourage critical thinking


Plan and teach effectively across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5)


Use assessment and feedback to support student progress and attainment


Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students


Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, including enrichment opportunities such as workshops or educational visits


Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a culture of high expectations and academic excellence

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
