About the role
The IT Services department are looking to appoint a highly motivated, conscientious ICT Technician to provide an excellent Customer Service experience to all stakeholders whilst maintaining the successful operation of the organisation’s computer networks and ICT facilities. You will be the front-line of a busy Helpdesk providing technical support, fixes and resolutions on a day to day basis and play a part in the development of ICT systems in accordance with current policies and procedures.
Duties will include:
Assisting and supporting the IT Helpdesk, including providing advice and training to Assistant ICT Technicians
Working closely with and assisting Senior ICT Technicians, 3rd Line Engineers and ICT Management
Dealing with customer queries and Trouble-shooting end user issues on a variety of resources
Installation of new software and upgrades and ensuring appropriate levels of access are maintained
Setting up audio visual equipment for classrooms and events, both small and large-scale
Maintaining and Commissioning of new workstations, printers, telephony devices and networking kit
About the person
The successful candidate will have a keen talent for ICT, professional communication skills with a particular focus on customer service, be strongly organised and maintain a high attention to detail.
Candidates should also have:
Good standard of technical and practical knowledge, skills and experience in advising and working on ICT systems, supervising staff and undertaking specialist ICT work, with a Level 3 qualification (NVQ, AVCE or A Level) in ICT being highly desirable.
The self-motivation and desire to work closely with colleagues, team members and stakeholders of all levels of ability.
An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
