Inspiration Trust are seeking to appoint a Visiting Music Teacher with a Brass specialism. If you are an excellent teacher, who is passionate about education and are excited about continuing to develop your practice, then we want to hear from you.
The successful applicant will plan and deliver high-quality instrumental/vocal teaching within multiple Academies across the Trust and will facilitate co-curricular musical opportunities. While most teaching will take place during school hours, some work will be required out of school hours, most notably for rehearsals, performances and exams.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate music teacher, with a proven track record in achieving strong outcomes, to have a significant impact. This role presents an opportunity to work with nationally recognised practitioners and access high quality CPD.
The trust seeks applications from experienced, specialist teachers of Brass. The ability to play and teach another instrument to a high standard would be beneficial, but is not a prerequisite.
This post is deployable trust-wide. Expected working locations at the outset can be discussed during the interview.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Grade 8 or above in a primary study instrument (or demonstrable skill level equivalent to at least this standard)
- Grade 5 music theory or above (or a demonstrable skill level equivalent to this standard)
- Valid driving license
- Experience of teaching a range of ages, from primary to secondary pupils
- Experience of leading and assisting with ensemble activities (choirs, ensembles, performance opportunities)
