Summary
Your Role!
In this role, you’ll ensure that the housing needs of those seeking help are assessed and prioritised fairly. You’ll provide clear advice on housing options—including private renting, low-cost home ownership, and the housing register—and support individuals to prevent homelessness. A key part of the role involves triaging and assisting refugees leaving Serco accommodation, and ensuring Duty to Refer cases from public authorities are processed promptly and in line with legal obligations and local procedures.

About You!
You will be a great communicator who can confidently support and assist clients wishing to join the council's housing register and support refugees leaving Serco (asylum) accommodation under homelessness duties.
As a strong team player, you’ll also be capable of working independently, with excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients. Your empathetic and professional approach will enable you to support a wide range of individuals, often in challenging circumstances, with sensitivity and respect.
