As an integral part of our occupational therapy department, the successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in overcoming challenges related to physical, emotional, and developmental conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement treatment plans, engage in therapeutic activities, and provide encouragement and support to patients as they strive toward their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities
Assist the Occupational Therapist in assessing patients' needs and developing treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
Monitor and document patients' progress towards rehabilitation goals.
Provide support, encouragement, and motivation to patients during therapy sessions.
Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and exercises for home practice.
Maintain an organized and safe environment for therapy activities and equipment.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Requirements
Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current certification and/or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the relevant state.
Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17.00
Pay Per Hour: £17.54
