Job Title: Temporary Credit Controller
Location: Haydock
Duration: Minimum 2 weeks (with potential to extend)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
The Role
Our client in Haydock is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in reducing aged debt and resolving stubborn outstanding accounts, helping to improve cash flow and support the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and prioritise the collection of aged debt.
Proactively chase overdue accounts by phone and email.
Resolve queries and disputes efficiently to ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate records of debtor communications and actions taken.
Liaise with internal teams to support the resolution of invoicing or payment queries.
Provide regular updates on debtor performance and progress made.
Requirements
Proven experience in credit control, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to deal confidently with difficult conversations around payment.
Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience using Xero is highly desirable.
Availability to start immediately.
