Role length: Anticipated 3 months

Working arrangements: Hybrid with requirement to be in office as role requires (potentially 3-4 days per week)

DBS requirement: DBS is required for this role



The role:

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Digital and ICT professional for a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering the Digital and ICT Strategy and helping council services to change and improve through the effective deployment of D&ICT solutions. You will scope, project manage and deliver successful digital and ICT projects.

To carry out this role, you must have over three years' experience of successfully managing end-to-end ICT and Digital projects, including benefits realisation, and transition to business as usual. You must be skilled in stakeholder engagement, supplier coordination, project delivery and change management.



Key responsibilities:

Drive service improvement by identifying opportunities for business change, efficiencies, and better outcomes through digital solutions
Scope, manage and deliver ICT and digital projects aligned to strategic and service priorities
Project manage all elements of digital and ICT projects as scoped and requested in line with procedures and governance frameworks
Maintain accurate project schedules and plans
Identify and manage project risks and issues and manage the interaction of these and other interdependencies on the outcome of the project, other projects and the successful delivery of the ICT and Digital Strategy
Engage stakeholders across the organisation to ensure collaborative, user-focused project delivery
Champion data security and compliance, ensuring projects meet GDPR and internal policy requirements
Contribute to team development, continuously improving our approach to digital transformation



What the client is looking for:

Educated to Degree level or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience project managing a range of ICT and Digital projects
Experience of project managing the end-to-end implementation of new ICT or Digital solutions to ensure a smooth transition to ‘Business As Usual’ within the service
Stakeholder management skills
Experience of working with ICT and Digital Suppliers
Experience of measuring and quantifying the impact of ICT and Digital projects
Identifying and scoping actual/ potential opportunities for change/ improvement linked to ICT and Digital Solutions
Championing and delivering ICT and Digital-led change and improvement
Developing and measuring benefits and outcomes
Excellent communication skills
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
