Summary


Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Trust is looking for motivated and enthusiastic midwife to join our Midwifery Led Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of midwives that provide high standards of care using evidence based practice.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills in every aspect of midwifery. Our service is continually changing and evolving to meet the needs of the population and ensure women and their families
have a positive birthing experience. We welcome innovative ways of working and new ideas. We are a very friendly and supportive team, keen to gain the best out of every midwife. Our service is proud to offer development opportunities and support career progression within the Maternity workforce.



The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the midwifery led team and provide specialist support on all aspects of the MLU. They will coordinate the safe, effective and efficient running of the midwifery led unit by providing excellent maternity care for women and families. They will be an experienced resource for learners and visitors to the unit.

Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust has an alonside Midwifery Led Unit, providing care to women and families from the Liverpool City Region. As a clinical lead your role will involveprovision of expert clinical leadership on the Midwifery Led Unit, supporting staff to provide a high standard of care in line with evidence-based practice and Trust guidelines. You will support midwives to develop competence in the Midwifery Led environment by being visible and available within the clinical area. The role will also be responsible for maintaining patient safety and working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate use of resources across the service. You will also oversee the day to day running of the clinical areas providing assurance regarding ward standards.
