Summary

The Exhibitions Manager role is based within the Visitor Experience and Customer
Services team which ensures that Senedd visitors have the best possible
experience of our venues both on the estate and online. The Exhibitions Manager works closely with all areas of the Service to deliver our strategic vision for increasing engagement and participation with the Senedd through exhibitions.

The strategic aim of the Service is to improve understanding, shift perceptions, or
change behaviour (e.g. encouraging people to get involved in our work)
We do this by:
• Increasing awareness of the role the Senedd performs
• Improving understanding of the work of the Senedd
• Increasing participation and involving people in our work

The Exhibitions Manager is responsible for organising temporary and semi-permanent exhibitions which showcase Welsh excellence and educate about the
work of the Senedd. The programme of exhibitions reflects the Senedd’s responsibilities and priorities and include partnerships with key national organisations as well as projects developed with Welsh communities.

The role includes project managing and providing expertise when designing and
developing a cohesive visitor journey on the estate, through the introduction of
temporary and semi-permanent exhibitions and visitor displays.

All exhibitions, both Member Sponsored and led by the Senedd Commission are
curated to reinforce the Senedd’s identity as a visitor destination, as well as
linking to the work of the Senedd.
