Summary

Little Oaks Pre-school in Waddesdon is looking for a temporary One to One Support Assistant, to start work as soon as possible (following the receipt of suitable references and clearance via other suitability checks and completion of the statutory training courses as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements) till July 2026.

Minimum 16 hours per week term time only (hours will be Monday, Wednesday & Thursday (availability within the hours of 09.00 till 15.30, but this could be negotiable for the right candidate)

Salary paid at the national minimum/living wage (rate dependant on age and qualification).

We have an opening for a temporary One to One Support Assistant for children in our care who have additional needs, supporting them during our fun and friendly sessions, working within a team of experienced, and professional caring staff.

You will work alongside members of the management team, pre-school staff, committee members and outside agencies to develop existing practice, and maintain the settings high standards through caring relationships with the families in our care.

The position will involve setting up and clearing away resources at the beginning and end of our sessions, caring for children with additional needs, working on targets set by professionals and outside agencies to help the children reach their full potential. A cheerful and caring disposition and a willingness to work hard and learn are essential!

This is an active role with lots of frequent movements supporting young children. The role will require you will be on your feet a lot of the time, playing and exploring in all areas of the pre-school including the garden area, and playing on the floor.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and does require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and suitable references. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
