You will be employed by the University of Warwick and hold an Honorary Contract with a regional NHS trust at the discretion of the training programme director, to suit your clinical training within the West Midlands deanery, for example University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW).GP candidates will have completed their clinical training, and will combine academic training with clinical service as a salaried or self-employed GP.
You will have submitted your PhD/MD at the time you apply and will provide evidence that you have been fully awarded your degree by the time you take up the post.
Contract duration: 4 years (to a maximum of 4 years total funding). Funding is available for 1 post. The salary will be at the clinical scale, depending on qualifications and experience. Note that NIHR funds GP CL posts at a maximum equivalent to the top of the pre-2003 consultant contract pay scale. The successful applicant must be in post by 1 September 2026
Applicants should be medically qualified, ST3 and above (O&G) or have obtained CCT (GP), have full GMC registration and already hold, or have submitted for Higher Degree (PhD/DPhil/MD).
