Job description

You will work as part of the team in our Equipment Build Department

Responsibilities:

To build and test equipment to agreed specifications and quality requirements.
To ensure good practice with adherence to appropriate health and safety requirements / related regulations.
To maintain in-house equipment and / or facilities including routine fire alarm and emergency light testing.
To help Service Engineers with customer service visits, when required (UK and overseas).
To identify and define the needs for improvement of in-house equipment and / or facilities.
To provide feedback on builds and contribute to designing electrical systems to agreed specifications and quality requirements.
To monitor and keep record of stock level of electrical components and consumables including booking in and out of relevant parts.
Flexibility to take on additional tasks within other departments as necessary, especially mechanical and maintenance related.

Required skills & experience

Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Good standard of general education.
Experience in industrial equipment and control system panel wiring.
Good analytical and fault-finding skills an advantage.
Willingness to travel, when required (UK and overseas).
Ability to display flexibility and openness, as well as working well under pressure.
Good practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Highly motivated, with drive and commitment to deliver and to work to deadlines.
Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Good housekeeping and maintenance of a clean, tidy working environment.
