Job Title:
Support Worker/Complex needs
Main Purpose of Job:
To provide care and other tasks as specified User’s individual service/care plan, to a high standard in accordance with our policies and Procedures.
Main Tasks of Job:
1) Assisting with personal care including bathing, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and hair care, dressing, undressing and assist with all toilet and continence requirements. Also to travel to hospital appointments and assist with therapies as required. Ensuring that Service Users have given their consent prior to any examination, care, treatment or support taking place and that all Service Users are treated with respect.
2) General light domestic duties including laundry and ironing.
3) Assisting with the cooking of light meals, preparing snacks and the provision of beverages.
4) Carrying out tasks as specified in the Service User’s individual service/care plan, taking action to enable the Service User to carry out as much self-care and other activities as possible.
5) Helping with handling the service users’ money in respect while out of home on trips or health appointments to allow him to carry out his own shopping. Ensuring accurate and up to date records are kept.
6) Assisting with Physiotherapy/ hydrotherapy sessions.
7) Transporting service users to local amenities and to medical appointments.
8) Contributing to accurate and detailed record keeping whilst maintaining the Service.
9) Contribute to the team effort.
10) Ensuring notes are kept up dated
11) Ensuring Nutrition and hydration are supplied as client nutritionally challenged
