Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Temporary Accommodation Officer (SO2) to join our team. This temporary position plays a crucial role in assisting individuals and families facing housing difficulties by coordinating and managing temporary accommodation services. As a Temporary Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that those in need receive appropriate housing solutions in a timely manner, while also adhering to relevant policies and procedures. Your expertise in housing management and customer service will be essential as you engage with clients, assess their needs, and provide comprehensive support throughout the accommodation process. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including housing providers, local authorities, and social services, to facilitate effective service delivery. Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of individuals and families to determine their temporary accommodation needs.
Coordinate and arrange temporary housing placements in line with organizational policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and accommodation arrangements.
Collaborate with local authorities and housing providers to identify suitable accommodation options.
Provide ongoing support and advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of temporary accommodation solutions, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Participate in outreach efforts to engage with at-risk individuals and promote available accommodation services.
Requirements
Proven experience in housing management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of housing policies, legislation, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with clients.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and time management.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
Proficiency in IT systems and software relevant to case management and reporting.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £159.49
