We are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team at a school supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and resilient professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives. Successful candidates who integrate well into the team may be considered for a permanent position.
About the Role:
- Support students with SEMH needs in both group and 1:1 settings
- Implement personalised behaviour strategies
- Foster positive relationships with students and staff
- Maintain a calm, consistent, and proactive approach
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the wider team
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience working with children or young people - ideally in SEMH or similar settings
- Confident, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
- Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
- Ability to build trust quickly with students and staff
- Resilience in challenging environments; calm under pressure
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Reliable, proactive, and a team player
