Your New Job

Are you a qualified teacher with experience supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and working in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)? Hays Education is urgently recruiting for a Qualified SEMH Teacher to join a specialist educational hub in the Oldham area. This full-time role is to cover a planned sickness absence, and the school is looking to appoint someone immediately. You will be teaching and supporting students aged 4-19 who face complex behavioural and emotional challenges, including self-harming behaviours. The role requires a trauma-informed approach, strong behaviour management skills, and the ability to build trust with vulnerable learners.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays.
