Summary
AVS VAT, based in Stevenage and a leading award-winning VAT specialist firm, is looking for a reliable and accurate Admin & Accounts Assistant to join our team.
This is not a remote position but based in our Stevenage office. This is a key role in supporting our team in the delivery of our high-quality service to our UK and international client base.
There is scope to grow the role into a full-time position and take on client facing work including learning about the complexities of the UK VAT system.
Responsibilities:
• General administration & team support
• Invoicing, time reporting & debt collection
• Onboarding new clients
• Data analysis & accurate record keeping
• Coordinating client VAT return submissions
• Working with cloud-based systems
• Communicating with the team and clients
Requirements:
• Must have proficiency in Excel
• Strong attention to detail is vital
• Commitment to adhering to internal written processes
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Familiarity with Xero is ideal (training can be provided)
• Willingness to increase hours during month-end busy periods
