Summary
Supporting the Area Officer the Support Officer will provide welfare and pastoral support to those in need, in the fishing communities of Devon.
Role Summary
To provide support to clients of the Fishermen’s Mission by assessing their welfare needs, completing applications, providing sign posting recommendations and completing referrals. This will be undertaken through a combination of digital and in-person support
To support the Area Manager in the development and maintenance of positive links with key statutory and voluntary section organisations across the region, promoting awareness of the Fishermen’s Mission and developing potential routes to further support our clients.
To support community fundraising activities across the area which will include some evening and weekend work.
