Summary
Clinical Care & Therapy Coordinate and monitor care delivery for a designated group of service users. Use complex clinical decision-making where required. Deliver CBT-based individual and group interventions. Provide personal care (hygiene, diet, sleep, physical comfort) where necessary. Conduct and act on physical health checks (BP, temperature, weight, urinalysis, etc.). Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in service users health. Ensure therapeutic engagement, emotional stability, and recovery-focused support. Communication Maintain accurate and detailed case notes in line with Trust policy. Communicate effectively with clients, carers, relatives, visitors, staff, and other professionals. Ensure consent is sought and documented meaningfully. Overcome communication barriers and adapt communication to service users level of understanding and background. Quality & Service Improvement Lead service standard development and monitoring. Collect, collate, and analyze data for audit, research, and performance evaluation. Identify and implement service improvements, including benchmarking. Promote shared decision-making and carer/service user involvement. Escalate concerns and contribute to maintaining a positive image of the team and service. Risk & Safeguarding Undertake risk assessments and ensure delivery of care within policies. Recognize crisis situations, respond appropriately, and escalate when required. Contribute to CPA processes (Care Programme Approach). Apply safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults and children. Implement health and safety, security, and risk policies to protect service users, staff, and the public. Supervise service users in line with leave status as directed by medical staff. Professional & Personal Development Take part in clinical supervision and appraisal for personal development. Maintain a personal portfolio of competencies. Keep up to date with essential training and adhere to NMC code. Support induction and mentorship of students and new staff. Management & Leadership Assist with recruitment, deployment, and staff management. Ensure safe staffing rosters in clinical areas. Provide supervision, appraisal, and performance management for staff. Monitor and maintain compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and governance. Contribute to creating a healthy, safe, and diverse workplace environment. Uphold professional confidentiality at all times.
