Summary
Support a Divisions, or group of Divisions in waiting times validation and pathway management. Maintain a thorough and current understanding of the national waiting times standards and rules, ensure staff throughout the Trust are updated with any changes to the rules Regularly validate waiting list pathways to ensure they are accurate and amend pathways to correct data quality errors in accordance with agreed validation and clinical governance guidelines. This will involve liaising with clinical teams to arrange for pathways to be updated, where appropriate. To understand and apply the waiting times rules to individual pathways. To act in such a way as to protect patient confidentiality and staff confidentiality at all times Work closely with the Waiting Times Patient Pathway Manager in developing standard operating processes for waiting list validation across the Trust. Gain an understanding of how waiting times are captured and managed in the electronic patient record and any new systems that are implemented across the Trust and provide expert support to colleagues in the use of the system to manage patient pathways of care. Produce reports from the system (PowerBI) and ensure these reports are easy to use and interpret. Validate the data thoroughly to ensure that pathway coding is correct and potential breaches are reported in a timely manner Represent the Divisions when required with a view to sharing knowledge on waiting times, data accuracy and targets Hold meetings with departments to discuss issues and incorrectly managed processes Work with colleagues in the Performance Improvement team in the development and maintenance of a strategy for the future provision and continued accuracy of waiting times information. Work as a team to assist colleagues in providing cover for the work of absent colleagues when necessary while managing their workload
