Summary
Immediate start for experienced Healthcare Assistants in a Derby based Care home.
As a healthcare assistant you will be providing care for service users with age related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. You will be required to assist with mobility, hygiene and nutritional needs whilst ensuring psychological and physical wellbeing is maintained.
You will also be expected to complete general housekeeping, following health and safety regulations, reporting of condition updates and reporting incidents to senior staff are vital aspects of the role.
To apply for this role you must;
- Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
- Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. practical moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
- Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas
- Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

Flexible night shifts available between Monday and Sunday,22:00 to 07:00.
