Summary


The renal cancer CNS will be responsible for the care and management of patients who are undergoing investigations for suspected kidney cancer and patients who have been diagnosed with kidney cancer and are undergoing treatment or being followed up by the kidney cancer team.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate nurse with has been working within the Uro/Oncology service and has experience in running nurse led clinics.

You will need to be able to demonstrate an expert level of skill and knowledge of the Uro/Oncology service with at least 2 years relevant experience at band 6 or above. This post requires a nurse who not only is an autonomous practitioner but also works well in a team. You are expected to cover cross sites- (SGH and Queen Mary’s Roehampton).

• Care and management of the kidney cancer patient from diagnosis and through out the patients cancer journey.
• To provide support and information for the kidney cancer patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting at St Georges & Queen Marys Hospital
• To provide holistic care and health promotion for our patient's.
• Completing holistic needs assessments as required
• To work in collaboration with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
• To develop the renal cancer service, writing standard operating policies and protocols
• Responsible for nurse led clinics.
• To provide care to patients with benign urological conditions and urological cancer services, provision of outpatient urology services,supporting the Emergency Department and supporting Urology medical teams.
• This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNS to join our well-established renal cancer team

Responsible for the care and management of renal cancer patients and to provide cover for the Uro/oncology service. To provide patient support and information from diagnosis onwards and will complete holistic needs assessments through out the cancer patients journey. To run Nurse Led clinics as per service needs.
