An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful, dynamic and supportive school team within Parkhead Primary School. The school is a non-denominational primary with 15 classes and an early learning centre.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to join our support team to support learning and teaching. Under the teacher’s direction they will work within the learning environment to support pupil learning, organise resources and carry out duties relating to pupil pastoral support. They will promote an ethos of inclusion and achievement through the development of positive relationships and will have due regard for the health and safety of the young people they are working with. Working hours/days - Wednesday & Thursday 8:30 am – 3:15pm & Fri 8:30am -12:45pm.


This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account


This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
