Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
• Support Maths teachers in delivering engaging and challenging lessons
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who need additional support in areas
• Help to prepare lesson resources, worksheets, and activities
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid development
• Encourage problem-solving, resilience, and independent learning skills
Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant: Candidate Specification

• Holds a 2:1 or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related subject (Russell Group or top-30 university preferred)
• Has a strong academic record at both GCSE and A-Level
• Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
• Is enthusiastic, resilient, and proactive in supporting learning
• Is considering a career in teaching, education, or other Maths-related fields
• Previous tutoring or classroom experience is desirable but not essential
