As a STEM Graduate TA, you'll be working alongside experienced teachers and support staff who are committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a love for learning.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll support students primarily in STEM subjects—such as maths, science, and computing—across various year groups. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students in class to help them access and understand the curriculum


  • Providing one-to-one or small group interventions in STEM-related topics


  • Supporting lesson planning and practical science/maths activities


  • Promoting engagement, focus, and resilience in learning


  • Helping with exam preparation, homework, and the development of core study skills


  • Building positive relationships with students to boost their confidence and academic progress

    This role is ideal for someone who:

    • Holds a 2:1 or above in a STEM-related degree (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science)


    • Is considering a future career in teaching, education, or academic mentoring


    • Is enthusiastic about supporting young people in their learning journey


    • Has strong communication and problem-solving skills


    • May have previous experience tutoring, coaching, or mentoring young people
