About you and the role:

· Lead: You will lead the service within a triumvirate to deliver safe and effective patient services, demonstrating compassionate and inclusive leadership

· Govern: You will ensure robust governance arrangements are in place

Educate: You will develop of a strong cohort of clinical leaders at specialty and service level

· Collaborate: Clinical Directors do not lead alone! You will work with a General Manager and Operational Lead Nurse, alongside the Senior Leadership Team Work to achieve service objectives

Key Responsibilities:
• Senior Team Member: Support the Clinical Head of Division in delivering all aspects of local business plans
• Performance and Financial Management: Ensure resources are managed effectively, creating efficiencies and performance targets are met
• Improving Clinical Services: Encouraging improvement and transformation, promoting a culture of patient safety and patient experience
• Professional Development:Promote continuing learning and growing talent

This role requires individuals who are capable of leading and inspiring all staff (clinical and nonclinical) within their department(s) and who will command the confidence of the constituent specialty teams. The Clinical Director is committed to improving patient experience and outcomes,
driving up standards of patient care. This opportunity is open to all clinical staff groups in the Trust.
The Clinical Director of Peri-Operative Medicine, Pain & Acute Care will provide leadership and direction ensuring that service objectives are implemented through strong, positive and professional leadership. The post holder will acknowledge accountability for their assigned Clinical Departments, providing oversight to the services within it, and working within the MFT operating framework.
Working alongside the operational General Manager and the Lead Nurse, the Clinical Director is central to the oversight and direction of the department, and this role reinforces the Trust’s commitment to placing clinical leadership at the heart of the organisation. Reporting to the Clinical Head of Division, the Clinical Director will focus, within the Clinical Department, on providing high quality, safe, well-governed, productive and cost-effective services. The Clinical Director may also
be required to deputise for the Clinical Head of Division.
