This is a hybrid role, with some client travel which may include overnight stays.
What you’ll be doing
• Supporting transformation: Contribute to Opportunity Assessment Reviews through detailed data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and report development.
• Driving innovation: Undertake research and apply best practice knowledge to develop creative solutions that deliver cost improvements and benefits for clients.
• Collaborating for success: Build effective relationships with stakeholders, escalate challenges when needed, and support the delivery of savings initiatives.
• Delivering results: Utilise tools and methodologies to support procurement processes, transformation activities, and project delivery across multiple engagements.
• Developing expertise: Support knowledge sharing, product development, and best practice initiatives as a member of a Category Group, while developing your own subject matter expertise.
• Managing performance: Deploy contract management and supplier relationship management principles to deliver performance management initiatives for clients.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills
• Procurement Knowledge: Knowledge of sourcing across categories and industry sectors
• Project Delivery: Demonstrates experience of delivering procurement projects, including strategy development and supporting category management
• Stakeholder Engagement: Experience of developing relationships and working effectively with stakeholders and suppliers
• Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in supplier selection, negotiation, implementation, and complex contract management, delivering cost and savings targets
• Adaptability: Some experience working in a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives
• Innovative Mindset: Innovative, self-starter and results orientated, with a clear understanding of the "value-add" procurement professional
Desirable Skills
• Matrix working: Experience operating within a matrix structure, collaborating across teams and functions to deliver successful outcomes.
