Summary
Maintenance Fitter
35k, Knaresborough
Excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering fitter to join a growing manufacturer in the Knaresborough area. The role will include the planned and preventative maintenance of production equipment and facilities maintenance. This is a stand alone role and would suit a candidate with confident mechanical fault finding and skills.
The job:
- Ensure manufacturing equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
- Ensure all facility requirements are met and maintained, i.e. legionella, COSHH.
- Trouble shoot equipment and facility issues, and repair equipment to ensure day to day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
- Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document.
- Implementation, development and delivery of a Scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Development and implementation of adequate Contactor Control of Works (CCoW) and Safe Systems of Work (SSW)
- Reporting on maintenance spend and stock ensuring business critical spare parts are identified and available at all times
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Confident Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of control systems.
- Hands on experience of manufacturing equipment reactive and PPM and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Experience of Health and Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Experience of ISO 9001
