Your new company
A respected not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester City Centre is seeking a hands on Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis, working part time (22.5hours). This organisation plays a vital role in supporting public safety and education initiatives across the UK.
Your new role
As Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team,ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of day-to-day financial processes.You will be responsible for:
- Supporting on preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assistingwith bank reconciliations and payroll support
- Supportingaccounts payable and receivable functions
- Assistingin the preparation of financial reports and budget forecasts
- Ensuringcompliance with financial policies and audit requirements
- Providingadministrative support and liaising with internal departments on invoicequeries
What you'll need to succeed
You willhave:
- Experienceas a accountant or in a similar role
- Experience with putting together monthly management accounts
- Experience completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Experienceworking with Sage or Xero
- Highattention to detail
- Excellentcommunication and time management skills
- Professionalcertification (e.g., AAT, CIMA, ACCA) - desirable
